Exhibits
The Rural Heritage Museum currently houses over twenty-six exhibits depicting early rural life in Washington County. Exhibits include:
- an early Conestoga wagon which traveled the National Road from Baltimore to Wheeling;
- a country store on loan from the Washington County Historical Society;
- buggies, wagons, and sleighs;
- three rooms furnished in the manner of a Victorian era farm house;
- horse-drawn plows and harvesters;
- farm tools including dairying and butchering equipment;
- and much more!
