Local History Presentation: An Era of Maryland Trolleys and Afternoon Tea
Join us for a nostalgic journey back in time on Sat, Jun 22, 2024 from 2pm-4pm. You will experience the charm and history of Maryland's iconic trolleys through photo journey led by local historian Reuben Moss, President and Curator of the Hagerstown & Frederick Railway Historical Society, will be leading the discussion. Moss, who also serves as a member of the National Road Heritage Foundation Board of Directors, boasts an impressive background in preserving the region’s rich transportation history. His involvement with various museums in Frederick and Washington County since 1999 has made him an authority on the subject.
This visually captivating presentation will feature a comparison of historical images with their present-day counterparts. Mr. Moss will guide the audience through the evolution of the trolley system, offering unique insights into its impact on the region’s transportation landscape.
There will be a refreshment break midway so guests may enjoy made from scratch cakes and cookies complemented with freshly brewed artisan iced teas.
