Heritage Spud Fest Event Schedule August 27 -28 2022
Heritage Spud Fest Craft Show and Fleatique is our annual charity fundraiser. Funds raised go to help preserve our rural heritage in the museums. This event is located on the campus of the Washington County Agricultural Education Center at 7313 Sharpsburg Pike (Route 65) Boonsboro MD.
All proceed go to support the upkeep and the exhibits in the three Museums, Rural Village and Homestead.
Admission to the event is FREE. Parking is by donation.
SATURDAY AUGUST 27 10AM -5PM
Craft Show & Fleatique (Upper Campus)
Potato Pickin' Contest: Ages 2- 11 -prizes for winners (Potato PAtch)
Registration - 10AM-11AM Potato Pickin Contest - 11AM-Noon
Potatoes are harvested by draft horses pulling a plow and children can “get dirty” picking potatoes
Pick your own Potatoes: Adults Noon-1PM
Pick your own potatoes in the potato patch after the contest is over. Fee $10 for 5 gallon bucket
Kids Tractor Pedal Pull Contest: Ages 5-11
Starts right after Kids Potato Pickin Contest (approximately 12:30)
Gift Shop- Opens 1:00PM (Located in the Early Living Museum)
Balloon Bust by Funnel N Around
University of MD Extension's Pollinator Palooza 10AM-2PM
Garden tours, childrens's craft's, native plant sale in the butterfly, 4-square, medicinal & demo gardens.
